The article presents information on special events that took place in the U.S. It states that on Earth Day, April 22, Donna Howard-Hastings and Torr Howard-Hastings cut three poles at the Navy's Project ELF, upholding international law, which says weapons of mass destruction are illegal. On May 19, they began a relay fast, to continue until the Navy is enjoined from further operations at Project ELF. Otherwise, the fast will end on October 9 to recognize the $3.5 trillion spent on the nuclear arsenal since 1945. The article also presents the information that the Union for Radical Political Economics Summer Conference has at Camp Chinqueka, Bantam, from August 24-27.
