The article presents information on various events in the U.S. The Second National Federal Practice Training will take place from August 17-24 at Santa Cruz Mountains in California. For public interest lawyers it explores strategy choices and ethics issues, and develops written and oral skills. The journal "The Nation," architecture critic Jane Holtz Kay will speak on her new book, "Asphalt Nation: How the Automobile Took Over America and How We Can Take It Back," showing the predicament of auto dependency, its history, and remedies for the car culture's dominance. Events will be from June 12 through 14 in the San Francisco Bay Area, California.
