This article focuses on the special events going in the United States. The Union for Radical Political Economics Inc. has its 1997 summer conference. This is a conference for activists and intellectuals, having fun with kids. Then, one can attend left-oriented and interesting workshops on economic issues and political topics. Another event is the third annual conference of the Association for the Psychoanalysis of Culture & Society, November 6-8, George Washington University. One-page abstracts are welcome on any aspect of aggressivity and violence or on the more general topic of psychoanalysis and social change.
