The article gives various information related to different parts of the U.S. Last year's tests involved explosions of super H-bombs comparable in force to fifteen to thirty millions tons of TNT. Each year the potential explosive force of the H-bombs increases; each year the hazard becomes greater and each series of tests, by the Russians or by Americans, creates pressure for the testing of still mightier ones. In his most recent comment, economist V. Lewis Bassie points out that American economic optimists have, by their chorus-like enthusiasm, erected "one-way" signs along the economic optic which read "ever upward."
