This article presents brief information on various socio-political events and developments in the U.S. It first reports the people-assisting program for economic understanding, "Economic Connection," which is a project of the Union for Radical Political Economics. It can, reportedly, provide a speaker for a political or educational event, or someone to discuss economic questions informally with a few members of the assistance-seeking community organization, union, political group or classroom. The article further reports about the Fourth Biennial Conference of the Center for Working-Class Studies, to be held at the Youngstown State University during June 9-12, 1999. Developments of a two-days conference for a fair economy, held at the Friends Meeting House in Pennsylvania during December 5-6, 1998, is also reported here.
