The article presents information related to social and political issues of the world. U.S. President Bill Clinton has come up with another think-small initiative. He sent a one-page letter to the U.S. Federal Communications Commission asking that it require media outlets to provide political candidates free and low-cost airtime for campaign advertising. The article also reports that the U.S. Congress is preparing to brawl over legislation raising the minimum wage to a level that would still leave a full-time worker supporting a family of three under the poverty line. Clinton's proposal, scheduled to be taken up by the U.S. Senate before April 1, would increase the minimum wage from $5.15 an hour to $6.15 over two years.
