The article presents information on Democratic Party and its opinion on the question of free trade. There appears to be in all parts of the country a painful readiness to treat the aims and intentions of the Democratic Party as questions of lunar politics. The Republican party is held together as an organization solely by the possession of the Government offices. The Democratic party, on the other hand, or the headquarters, or cadre, or whatever it is called, which represents the organization , is a mere debating club, in which any question which has two sides is welcome, but in which the discussion have no relation to the actual affairs of the day.
