The article focuses on the book "A New Practical Hebrew Grammar, With Hebrew-English and English-Hebrew Exercises and a Hebrew Chrestomathy," by Solomon Deutsch. Deutsch states that the book is a work of conscientious labor and possesses "the character of novelty." The book is evidently the product not only of conscientious, but also of long and assiduous, labor, as well as of extensive knowledge. The English portions of the work are not sufficiently revised, especially as to punctuation and the brief list of "corrections" that covers all misprints in Hebrew. Apart from these slight defects the book is quite meritorious.
