The article discusses the book "Greece, Ancient and Modern," by C.C. Felton. Four courses of lectures on ancient and modern Greece, delivered before the Lowell Institute by the late President Felton, have been edited and published in two handsome octavos. These lectures, differing in their special subjects, illustrate very well, in the several courses, the capabilities of the popular lecture as a means of instruction, and the limitations, which it should be under as regards choice of topics.
