The beautiful results of the recent great step in the art of photography, which has been called by its inventors the Autotype process, are not yet as well known among us as they ought to be. By this new process monochromatic photographs may be produced in any color that may be desired. The process is still in its infancy, but the results already attained by it are such as to warrant the hope of still further progress in the same direction. It has as yet been chiefly applied and its excellence is most manifest in the reproduction of original drawings of the old masters.
