This article presents information regarding the book "Ecce Femina. An Attempt to Solve the Woman Question," by Carlos White. The author of the work deftly exposes the weakness of the suffrage movement, but has not always armed himself to grapple with its strength. Though the book has a general tone of thoughtfulness and courtesy, it is yet likely to mislead in the respect that the positions which it charges upon the whole body of "innovators" can be justly affirmed only of its radical wing. White insists upon those physical and mental distinctions which, adapting the sexes to different uses, are yet compatible with their equality. This equality White states to be one of usefulness; whether it is also one of dignity White leaves to conjecture.
