The article focuses on the last volume of Henry Brougham's autobiography, "The Life and Times of Henry, Lord Brougham." The autobiography describes the busiest and most conspicuous years of his life, between the ages of fifty and sixty, ending with the close of his official career in 1834. His highest honors were crowded into that short period. This volume gives a satisfactory explanation of some passages in Brougham's life which his enemies were never tired of misrepresenting.
