The article focuses on the works of pianist Hans Von Bülow. He is a musician of distinguished ability, a thoughtful and highly cultivated man, whose special means of self-manifestation is the pianoforte. He would have made his mark in any department of music to which he might have devoted himself, and it is safe to say that he would have attained a more than respectable position in any other profession which was at all suited to his personal tastes and peculiar powers. His performance indicates something like this style of preparation, the composition is taken, studied as a while, then divided into grand divisions, the relation of which to each other is determined.
