The article presents information on several books and publishers. Roberts Bros., have nearly ready the fourth volume of the book Eight Cousins; also a translation from the French of Madame Recaimier and Her Friends; The Ship in the Desert, a collection of poem by Joaquin Miller; and Round My House and Etching and Etchers. Lockwood, Brooks & Co. publish next month An American in Iceland, by Samuel Kneeland. Harper & Bros. announce Select Dialogues of Plato; The Catskill Fairies, by Virginia W. Johnson; and John Todd, an autobiography, edited by John E. Todd. Nelson & Phillips will publish Summer Days on the Hudson, by Daniel Wise and North Pole Voyages, by the Reverend J.A. Mudge.
