The article discusses the U.S. political, military and financial issues. The narrowly drawn indictments against four officials of U.S. President Ronald Reagan's administration who violated not only Boland amendment but also Reagan's Executive Order 12333 where Reagan himself was a co-conspirator in spirit if not in fact amply prove that the big ones get away. The article also discusses the response of the readers as to which next scandal will befall the U.S. Attorney General. A controversy concerning the intermediate-range nuclear forces treaty which is threatening to create a divisive fight among arms control advocates, finds a place in the article. Moreover, it also reports that recently, Senator Frank Lautenberg introduced legislation that would adjust fines to keep pace with inflation.
