The article presents information about various children's books. "Belle and the Boys," by Caroline F. Corbin is the story of a maiden of sixteen who relieves her mother of the care of her household which includes two boys aged twelve and eight respectively, and a baby about a year old, in order that the latter may recover her health by a visit to Europe. "The Princess Idleways," is a prosaic fairy-tale of a little princess who becomes wear of life because her every wish is gratified; so she is sent into the woods to an old fairy Motherkin, who kindly corrects her faults, and teaches her to be useful and to share her gifts with the poor and unfortunate.
