The article provides information about forthcoming publications. "Outlying Europe and the Nearer Orient," by Joseph Moore is in the press of J.B. Lippincott & Co., together with "Under the Tricolor" or "The American Colony in Paris," by Lucy Hamilton Looper. Lockwood, Brooks & Co. will issue immediately "The Ponca Chiefs," a narrative of the tribe's dispossession of the Missouri lands belonging to it. Elizabeth Blackwell's "Counsel to Parents on the Moral Education of Their Children" is a work as difficult, for obvious reasons, to review as to compose. The writer's well-known professional standing will secure her the attention of the thoughtful, end deservedly so; on the other hand her sex is a drawback to the satisfactory treatment of the main topic of the book, though by no means depriving it of all value.
