The article presents information on socio-political activities from different parts of the world. Twelve years have passed since the Austrian Empire, after a disastrous shock, which brought it to the verge of ruin, was reorganized on a dualistic basis and transformed into a constitutional Austria-Hungary. Dissensions within and public opinion without have combined to force the abandonment of complex marriage on the Oneida Community. This change of the social platform, as it is called, purports to have been made merely in deference to the public sentiment, which is evidently rising against it, and was formally proposed by the founder of the Community. The Czechs of Bohemia and Moravia are determined to be loyal only as long as their remains a chance of transforming the monarch into a confederacy ruled by Slavs and virtually by themselves.
