The article presents information about the publication of various new books. The September 1879 issue of the journal "Atlantic" contains an article upon "Caesar's Art of War and of Writing," and a review of recently published book "Sketch," both of which are interesting and authoritative. A new and comprehensive Spanish dictionary of the Maya language of Yucatan, is to be published. The work is a good-sized quarto of 437 pages, with two prefaces, and bears the title, "Diccionario do la lengua Maya, por D. Juan Pio Perez."
