This article focuses on several political and educational developments from all over the world. The parliamentary troubles in France arising out of disputes about the legitimacy of tie-facto governments are not likely to last much longer, as there is in the more highly civilized countries no de-facto government now in existence which does not rest on a very solid basis of popular consent. In another news, the utterances of Charles William Eliot, president of Harvard University were looked for with additional interest owing to the fact that rumors have been for some time in circulation that the opposition of Harvard College to the admission of women was relaxing, and that the experiment of what is called "co-education" would there be witnessed before long.
