The article discusses several books and publishers. J.B. Lippincott & Co. have in press the books; "The Great Living Men of Our Country," a biographical dictionary; "The French and Belgians," from a domestic point of view, by Phoebe E. Gibbons; and "Instructions in Rifle-Firing," by T.T.S. Laidley. Osgood & Co. will shortly publish the book "Color-Blindness: Its Dangers and Detection," by Dr. B. Joy Jeffries. Recent English announcements which people find in the Academy are the books; "History of India," by Talboys Wheeler; "Round the World in Six Months," by E.S. Bridges, and "Holidays in Eastern France," by M. Betham-Edwards; "Life of Bishop Wilberforce," by A.R. Ashwell; "Life of Jonathan Swift"; "History of Ancient Geography," by E. H. Bunbury; and "The River of Golden Sand," a narrative of a journey through China to Burmah, by writer W. Gill.
