This section presents information on several publications. J. B. Lippincott & Co, will publish "A Guide to the Popular Terms in Science and Art," by C. Bankes Brooks; "The Climate of America," by William Pepper; and "Tales of Old-Thule," collected and illustrated by J. Moyr Smith. Those who wish to understand thoroughly the grounds of the decision of the Board of Enquiry in the case of U.S. General Flitz-John Porter will be materially aided by a colored map printed in the April 1879 issue of the Army and Navy Journal in connection with the report itself, which is republished in full.
