The article presents political updates of the world, as of March 13, 1879. The exact relations of the Imperial or Central Government to the Municipal Council of Paris, France, which the author described in the his last letter, could not be better exemplified than by a curious incident which has just taken place and which has excited much attention. In another update, the distinction which politician Rudolf Virchow insisted upon, in his famous München, Germany, address, between what is to be taught and what is to be sought for, is one long observed by the most scientific German minds.
