The article focuses on the ups and downs in the political condition of France. The President who is the enemy of the office which he fills, and who is sincere in his enmity. There is no more faithful servant in all France of universal suffrage. He voted against the institution of the Presidency in the Constituent Assembly to which, thirty years ago, he was returned by his native department of the Jura. He again refused to vote for the constitutional pact, which assured a regular status to the Third Republic.
