The article presents information on fine arts. Writer Frederick Wedmore, whose interesting book, entitled "Studies in English Art," has been reviewed in the columns of the journal contributes to the current number of the Nineteenth Century an article entitled "Méryon and Méryon's Paris." This is so far a misnomer that little is to be found in it about the beautiful and the picturesque buildings which the Second Empire thought itself bound to sweep which Méryon lamented and tried to commemorate. But the article otherwise is interesting and contains valuable information.
