The article presents information on the book "Geodesy," by A.R. Clark. The book contains manuals, intermediate in grade between the ordinary textbooks of the schools and the discussions in periodical and learned societies. This book is specially meant for students. The first thirty-six pages are devoted to geodetical operations, but are really a condensed history of the geodesy of the last two centuries. The book also includes chapters on spherical trigonometry and the method of least squares. The book requires prerequisite knowledge of higher mathematics.
