The publishing house of H.J. Meyer in Leipsic, Ohio, widely known as Bibliographisches Institiut, has started a new cyclopedic collection under the title of "Meyers Fach-Lexika." Together, these special lexica are to form a general cyclopeadia broken up into parts. Each part is to consist of one volume to embrace one branch of knowledge, and to be complete in itself, and thus singly procurable as an independent work. Uniformity is to be observed in plan, style, and external appearance, and no doubt care will be taken, by avoiding repetition as far as possible, to make the parts complete each other, and ultimately form a harmonious whole. The alphabetic distribution, or rather subdivision, of matter, is to prevail throughout, as indicated by the title. Some of the titles are "Universal History," "Ancient History," "German History," "Education," etc.
