The article focuses on the book "Law Relating to Stocks, Bonds, and Other Securities in the United States," by Francis A. Lewis. Lewis's book will be found a valuable collection of decisions upon the law of the stock exchange. Almost all this law is of very recent growth, and is what a researcher would have called judicial law. Lewis shows that there has been a steady progress towards the assimilation of the law of the two classes of securities. He does not think that the courts will ever go so far as to put them on the same footing, but he seems to admit that the process of assimilation has gone already pretty far.
