It is informed that the firm of Charles Scribner's Sons have sold their interest in the firm of Scribner & Co., and the latter corporation will, as soon as the change can be legally effected, assume the name of The Century Co. It is also informed that Mr. Roswell Smith will be the president of the new company. It is also brought to the notice of the readers that the third part of the Brinley sale was concluded recently, with a total net result of dollar 30,000. More than a quarter of this amount was produced by one book, the Gutenberg Bible, which was bid in at dollar 8,000 by Mr. Hamilton Cole.
