This article focuses on media reporting, published in several journals, regarding Israel and her policies. The usual regulatory mechanisms of the mainstream U.S. media processed the turmoil in the occupied territories and in Israel itself. An outlook was tellingly revealed in story of "Newsweek" of January 4, which reports on Israel-Arab relationship. Thomas L. Friedman, Jerusalem bureau chief for the newspaper "The New York Times," proposed to his readers on January 2 that Israel's tough tactics, with regard to occupied territories in Palestine, appeared to be working, at least temporarily.
