The article presents developments related to publishing. The Library Journal reappears in its familiar dress, making a double number for July and August. Forthcoming publications of Boston and Philadelphia houses are: Little Brown and Co.: "A History of the Conquest of Spain by the Arab Moors," by Henry Coppée; James R. Osgood and Co., and "Eminent English Liberals," by J. Morrison Davidson. "A Chapter of American Exploration,'' by W. H. Rideing, is the noteworthy paper of the number for its popular instructiveness as well as for its crisp and enthusiastic style, which makes it a contrast to the usual way in which perfunctory work of this kind is performed.
