The article presents information on recent development in the publishing industry. Macmillan & Co. have in press The Aryan Village, Past and Present, in Bengal and Ceylon," by John B. Phear. Jansen McClurg & Co. have published a very good translation of Ludwig Nohi's " The Life of Mozart." This work would have been more instinctive had it contained more facts and fewer reflections. One of the best specimens of destructive criticism in a long time is Henry P. Johnston's "Observations on Judge Jones's Loyalist History of the American Revolution."
