This article focuses on the book "Life, Journals, and Correspondence of Rev. Manasseh Cutler, LL.D," by William Parker Cutler and Julia Perkins Cutler. Every one knows this is centennial year in the Ohio Valley. The settlement planted a century ago has so prospered that it stands as the eastern boundary of the new empire of the West, to which it scorns to be almost the ultimate parent. But the natives of Ohio are fully aware that their state was no chance growth of accidental and discordant atoms.
