The article presents information about some recent books and their publication. A second series of papers by John Lubbock, entitled "Pleasures of Life," and a new volume, "London Life, and Other Stories," by Henry James, will be published directly by Macmillan & Co. Gum & Co. have in preparation for their classics for children series books including "Heroic Ballads and Poems," and "The Two Great Retreats of History." A new "Deutsches Worterbuch," by Moriz Heyne, in three volumes, is about to be issued by S. Hirzel Leipzig. It will be handier and proposes to itself to fill the place of Webster in English lexicography.
