The article presents information on the book "Railroad Transportation, Its History and Laws," by Arthur T. Hadley. It is prepared as a course of college lectures, the published work, as is not unusual in such cases, bears plain traces of the fact; much of it, while sufficiently good for class-room delivery, hardly bears the test of reading. The book gives some information on the Reagan bill which will probably fail to become a law owing to the fact that the two branches of Congress. are at cross purposes on the subject to which it relates.
