The article focuses on the book "Bossuet, Historian of Protestantism" by author M. Altred Rébelliau. Rébelliau's subject is very limited: he does not speak of French orator Jacques Bé-nigne Bossuet as a writer or as a preacher; he deals only with Bossuet the historian. Rébelliau regards Bossuet chiefly as the author of the book "Histoire des Variations," and here he exhausts completely his subject, with an abundance of notes and of documents which does great credit to his industry.
