The article presents economic and political updates of the U.S., as of March 2, 1893. The financial situation in the U.S. grows visibly worse from day to day. The $100,000,000 gold reserve that has remained intact from the January 1, 1879, has been really reduced, for although there is an apparent balance of free gold in the U.S. Treasury, it is due to a loan made by the city banks a short time since. Another update is about U.S. Presidents Grover Cleveland. If one is to judge of the Democratic situation by the news, which the newspaper "Tribune," contains of the attitude of leading Democrats towards U.S. President, the latter will enter the White House Office on Saturday next almost without a political friend.
