The article presents information about the book "Canada's Intellectual Strength and Weakness," by J.G. Bourinot. The book is devoted to the consideration of Canadian intellect, written by a Canadian with a national reputation in both law and letters, ought therefore to be of interest to all who are not complacently sure that in the case ignorance is bliss.
