The article presents information on several books. Hunt & Eaton have in preparation "Travels in Three Continents," by the Reverend J.M. Buckley. D. Appleton & Co. have nearly ready "City Government in the United States," by Alfred R. Conkling. Other fall publication of this house will be G. Maspero's "Dawn of Civilization." The Leipzig publisher F.A. Brockhaus announces an "Ailgemeine Gesehielite der Philosophie mit besonderer Berucksichtigung der Religion," by Paul Deussen. "Die Huldar Saga," by Konrad Maurer, a reprint from the Proceedings of the Bavarian Academy of Sciences, is an admirable and exhaustive study of one of the latest and perhaps least important of the Icelandic sagas.
