In this article, the author focuses on various current socio-political and administrative developments and issues in the U.S. It first discusses Democratic President Paul Tsongas's doctrine in economic theory. Since Americans care little for economic theory but know all about chemotherapy, Tsongas has adroitly conflated the two. According to him, the U.S. economy has difficulties like cancer and hence it should be treated in a little painful but corrective method like chemotherapy. The article further reports that Senator Bob Kerrey made his contribution to Campaign '92 by saying that if Bill Clinton, Presidential candidate, becomes the Democratic nominee, the Republicans will break him open in the fall "like a soft peanut."
