The article presents information on several books related to science. The book "Darwinism To-day," by Vernon L. Kellogg, is a discussion of present-day scientific criticism of the Darwinian selection theories, together with a brief account of species forming." "Microscopy the Construction Theory, and use of the Microscope,'' by E.J. Spitta, is rather luxurious book intended for the instruction of beginners and the help of more advanced workers who are still unfamiliar with the principles involved. There are many illustrations of instruments and accessories, and extended discussions of structural details and of the theories of lenses, apertures, and illumination, with an instructive chapter on the use of condensers.
