The article presents information from the world of arts. One of the latest works on art is the book "Letters to a Painter," by W. Ostwald. Writer Otto Walter Beck's book "Art Principles in Portrait Photography," is an attempt to apply certain ideas of pictorial composition to photographic portrait. The Engineering Experiment Station of the University of Illinois has just published as Bulletin No. 13 "An Extension of the Dewey Decimal Classification Applied to Architecture and Building." Close on his book "Church Plate of the Diocese of Bangor," writer E. Alfred Jones has produced a no less valuable volume, "The Old Church Plate of the Isle of Man."
