The article discusses several books related to music. In the book, The Profession of Teaching Music, by Wilhelm and Carrie Eylau, authors declare that ninety-nine out of every hundred students of music end by being teachers, and they admit that the countless failures on the concert-stage are less the fault of these pupils than the result of their teachers' incompetence and lack of interest. The book Voice Production in Singing and Speaking, by Wesley Mills is thoroughly and equally versed in anatomy and music. A new book by author Felix Weingartner, Ratschlage fur Auffuhrungen der Sinfonien Beethoven's, has just been issued by Breitkopf & Hartel.
