This article presents information on an exhibition in the Royal Academy of London, England. The theme of the exhibition is the Camp of the American Army at Valley Forge, February, 1778, and it is still less decoratively treated. The article presents information on the mural decoration of the Academy. Rhythmical line and color are the only two important examples of mural decoration in the whole exhibition. The portraits are, of course, numerous, but they do not excel in quality as in quantity. Vitality has always been the great distinction of painter John Singer Sargent's portraits on the walls of the Academy, and it is the quality he now brings to his landscapes.
