The article presents information related to social and political issues of the world. The addition of an optional fourth year's work to the curriculum of the Harvard Law School is of considerable significance. The Harvard Law School was established in 1817, with a course of a year and a half in 1839, this was increased to an optional two years, though few students took advantage of the full course and the degree of bachelor of laws was awarded upon the completion of the shorter period. The report that a party of four men from Fairbanks, Alaska, has succeeded in sealing Mount McKinley in Alaska, seems to be entitled to credence. The men were experienced mountaineers and evidently set about their task in a manner, which bespoke intelligence as well as determination and under unusually favorable conditions.
