The article presents information related to literature on science. The book "Diamonds," by William Crookes is about diamonds. Crookes has penned a valuable monograph on the subject of diamonds. The distinguished physicist has made many observations on the diamond and was invited by the British association to deliver a lecture at Kimberley, where the association held its annual meeting. A sum of £600 was devoted to the lecture, while more than this amount was expended for the various materials employed.
