The article presents information on literature on the Sikh religion, one of India's religions. The book entitled "The Sikh Religion. Its Gurus. Sacred Writings, and authors," by Max Arthur Macauliffe throws light on the different aspects of the Sikh religion. More than thirty years ago, the Sikh religion was studied at first hand and the result of many years' study on the part of a patient German scholar was published under the title "Adigranth, or the Holy Scriptures of the Sikhs." It comes as a surprise from the author when he writes in the preface that he brings from the East what is practically an unknown religion.
