The article presents information on the fiction work "Candles in the Wind," by Maud Diver. The novel is the completion of a trilogy in which the writer has striven to represent the problems and the heroism of Anglo-Indian life. In her work Diver chooses as her theme the more feminine but no less stern problems of domestic life handling them with decision and delicacy, though with perhaps a shade of too much idealism. The dominant theme of "Candles in the Wind," is the danger of inter-racial marriage
