The article provides information on literature with reference to the work of Ralph Waldo Emerson, U.S. essayist, philosopher and poet. There are men who are so interesting to themselves that they keep their own archives. The work related to the essayist is entitled "Journals of Ralph Waldo Emerson with Annotations," vol. I, 1820-1824 and vol. II, 1824-1832 edited by Edward Waldo Emerson and Waldo Emerson Forbes. The work presents generous extracts from the intimate journals which the essayist kept for a matter of fifty years.
