The growing interest in Great Britain regarding industrial self-government through joint standing councils of employers and employees has resulted in the formation of the Industrial Reconstruction Council. Although an unofficial body, the Council is cooperating actively with various Government departments with the aim of establishing joint industrial councils in all trades. The Council hopes to bring about complete organization on the side both of employers and of employees, with elected "trade parliaments" to deal with problems of management and industrial relations.
